BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: 11:40 p.m. — The man brought to the Guam Memorial Hospital following an auto-motorcycle accident tonight is in stable condition. The unidentified man is being assessed by doctors, according to GMH Nursing Supervisor Bill Toves. No other details about the accident have been released by the Guam Fire Department or the Guam Police Department. Police and medics are still on the scene. A reporter on the scene said northbound and southbound traffic is restricted to one lane near Father Duenas Memorial School on Route 10. The motorcycle is on its side in the middle of a southbound lane. Junior Cruz, a 24-year-old Mangilao resident, said he was at a nearby house when he heard the crash — a cacophony of metal bending, glass cracking, and shattered plastic hitting the ground. Cruz said he ran out and saw the motorcyclist who was responsive — though his arm lay beneath his body in an unnatural angle. The man was calling out: Help me. When medics arrived, they put the unidentified man in a stretcher and brought him to GMH. The accident initially was reported as an auto-pedestrian with serious injuries. The accident occurred on Route 10 and the call was received at 10:37 p.m., Artero stated.
