BREAKING NEWS.. Via EUROSPORT Barcelona are in advanced negotiations to complete the signing of Englands World Cup bete noire Luis Suarez from Liverpool, reports in Spain claim. After a season without silverware, the Catalan club are desperately looking for a top new star to give the supporters at the Camp Nou fresh hope. Last summer they spent around £80m on Neymar and now, according to Mundo Deportivo, are ready to make a similar move for the Liverpool and Uruguay star. Luis Enriques side have also recently been linked with Sergio Aguero, Marco Reus and Gonzalo Higuain but Mundo Deportivo claims Suarez is their real top target this summer. The paper understands that when Suarez signed a new deal on Merseyside last season, Liverpool agreed to the inclusion of an €85m (£67m, $115m) release clause which could be reduced to €65m (£52m) should Real Madrid or Barcelona express an interest. The Catalan newspaper claims on its front page that talks on a deal -- made up of £30m plus Alexis Sanchez --- are at a very advanced stage. Rodgers wants Sanchez Real Madrid have also been linked with Suarez in recent months but Mundo Deportivo reports Barcelona lead the race, as Brendan Rodgers has been monitoring Sanchez for some time and is interested in securing his services as part of the deal. Mundo Deportivo also notes that Suarezs wifes family lives near Barcelona, and his agent is Pep Guardiolas brother Pere.
