BREAKING: Police arrest two men in a shooting that injured an off-duty Memphis Police Officer. Kwantavious Williams and LeAndrus Dennis have been arrested and charged with six counts of attempted first degree murder. The two men were seen leaving the scene of a shooting in the 3000 block of Mount Olive on Saturday night. Williams was identified, by a witness at the scene, as the driver of a green Toyota Tundra. Police say Dennis allegedly fired the shots that hit two people, including off-duty Memphis Police officer Eglin Lee, and grazed four others. Family members tell WMC Action News 5 that they had just returned from a funeral for Will Johnson Jr., a man known as the “Mayor of Douglas.” According to the affidavit, Williams admitted to driving the car while Dennis fired shots into the crowd. Dennis admitted to participating in the shooting. Both Williams and Dennis remain in jail on $750,000 dollars bond.
