BREAKING Udom Emmanuel Storms AKHA today by 11am *sets to bribe each member with 5million Naira *we’ll collect the money & vote our conscience, lawmakers As part of his determination to win the PDP primary by all cause, the secretary to the state government, SSG, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel will today, Monday, 6th October 2014 visit the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly to consult and bribe the law makers to support his illfated mission. Source from the speaker’s office revealed to The sermon that the letter announcing the consultation by the SSG was read by the Hon speaker, Rt Hon Samuel Ikon at the executive session on Thursday, 2nd October 2014 before the Honourable members during the session. The source who pleaded not to be name on our print said the speaker while reading the letter urged the entire 26 members not to miss the event as what will be taken home will be much. When contacted, a close source from the ssg’s camp who bragged to our correspondent revealed that Mr. Udom Emmanuel in partnership with Governor Godswill Akpabio was ready to beat other opposing forces with money even it will cause him to empty the state wallet. He boasted that his principal, apart from his intellectual prowess and Abuja connection has so far kept more than 50 Billion Naira for the 2015 gubernatorial poll and shall stop at nothing to grab the ticket in the forthcoming primaries. The dependable source further revealed that each law maker will receive not less than 5 million naira as part of the consultation fee. Reacting to the impending bribe, one of the law makers from Eket senatorial District said, though it’s the responsibility of any gubernatorial aspirant to consult the House and officially declare his or her intentions, members are not mandated to sale their conscience when the time come to cast their vote. He noted that even if he is given 50 million naira bribe, it can’t change his mind from supporting his earlier candidate. Another law maker from Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, who even lamented that the present administration has not done anything in his constituency vowed never to sell his conscience “ with a plate of beans.” According to him, “ I don’t hate Udom as a person, but the fact is that others have worked, toiled and soiled for the party for so many years, and where was he that time?”, He asked rhetorically. “I’m not opposing the governor’s succession plan; of course, you know a success without a successor is useless. But chief Akpabio should look for another man and present to us, not Udom because we don’t know him. Whatever dealings they had in the past, the SSG position must have been used as settlement for that, so he should not think Udom will fly as governorship aspirant, no!” Meanwhile, some of the law makers were full of joy since the news of the visit was dropped on Thursday, the sermon had learnt. Some aids of law makers who spoke with our correspondent during the marriage ceremony of ULAP Etim Ante divulged that their principals who seek a reelection were ready to use part of the money to buy their forms as soon as they receive the 5million bribe from Udom Emmanuel, the ssg. Effort to reach Udom Emmanuel as at press time proved abortive as his lines were busy.
