Lamar Alexander (R-TN) in Thursdays primary, said the record turnout for early voting shows that he is closing in on Alexander. Appearing on Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, Carr said Alexander does not have a double-digit lead, as his campaign claims, and the race is very, very, very close because voters are excited to support someone like Carr who will fight for the rule of law and stand against amnesty in a way Alexander has not. Carr also blasted Alexander for being absent last Thursday in the Senate when Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) killed the Senates border bill with a budget point of order. The bill, which did not preclude President Barack Obama from using federal funds to enact executive actions, died, but Alexander was nowhere to be found.
