BRETHREN: A brief discourse between the GLP GM and PGMs meeting. I was informed that, after accepting the invitation for a dialogue, the sitting GM promptly came, and proceeded to explain his side, which cleared the air of any doubts, from the PGMs viewpoint, that the GM is guilty of charges heaped in him. These charges were explained to be caused by the root causes of political, situational, as well as, that of personal enmity resultant of the times. It was reiterated by the GM that the real properties and personal assets of the GM, among others, were acquired legally, i.e.; the residential land cum-farm of 4.7 hectares (costed at P150,000.00), was said to have been long offered for sale at a cheap price, for some time, with no takers because it was a quarrying site, and was in dire need of earth fill-up. The existing house, with a floor measurement of 200 square meters, was a simple structure which was eventually renovated and expanded. The improvement gradually came over the years spanning close to 20 years since the 1990s. The GM, however, lamented and explained that he was dismayed that the aerial footages were perhaps presented, it seems, by media, duly influenced by enemies maybe driven by personal interests to mitigate and lower his image. Similarly, on another tack, the acquisition of the SUV was an acceptance of an offer from a vehicle supplier, whose business enterprise, it is, to provide high-end vehicles on a soft-loan package sans any negative or irregular attribution. It was explained that the act of selling the SUV at a very low price was, in fact, a personal choice and decision of the seller, and was never the result of any act of intimidation, or negotiation. It was also explained by the GM that this soft-sell package have been offered, in the past, mostly to other officials, whose good repute provided for an inherent trust, given their integrity and their good personal record. With that clarification, the PGMs, satisfied with the explanation of the GM, strongly suggested that the latter communicate the same clarification personally to all members of the jurisdiction to dispel any more doubts, with the end-in-view of ensuring stability among all brethren, and to reinforce the solidarity of the fraternity. This was promptly promised by the GM. Finally, it was recommended, that the GM take further steps to show his sincerity of wielding the gavel of Justice, by acting with severity on those involved in the criminal acts by brethren in uniform, for violations of the law of the land, and especially, that of our own Masonic regulations provided by our constitution. The need to undertake cleansing of the fraternity of uniformed rogue brethren was impressed clearly by the PGMs as a strong need to correct these immoral and unethical acts, which, were likewise committed by the GM, to the PGMs, some of whom also implied, that the GM, like his predecessors, should perhaps report for his work in the GLP. A promise to undertake the agreement raised in the dialogue was given, and affirmed by the GM to be implementable within a time-frame of a week, So Brethren, it was a result of this exchange between this PGM brother, whose straight-forwardness, requested yours truly, to relay this development to as many of the membership, in order to give the GM the consideration expected of any ordinary brother on the checkered pavement, where all stand equal among equals. Together Brethren..let us give the fraternity a chance to heal itself... In addition, a case of plunder has already been filed in court. Let us then wait a time with patience the decision of the court. Further, so as not to exacerbate the situation resulting to other parties unfavorable observations to our Fraternity, we are requesting the Brethren, in the meantime, to desist posting commentaries regarding the situation.
