BRIDGE TO PARADISE One night I dreamed I took a walk Across a stretch of ground. The ground was covered with rotted timber, And junk was all around. I was passing through what seemed to be My life of sin and shame- But, I kept on walking hopelessly, With nothing in life to gain; Then, just ahead I saw a bridge Over a river sparkling blue; And across this bridge I saw a meadow With grass all anew. Inside this meadow, I saw a man; He was standing upon a hill; His arms were reaching outward to me, And He said, PEACE, BE STILL! I knew not what to say to Him, Nor, could I look upon His face, Because I felt the presence of the Lord And the glory of His grace, Then I knew this was the Son of God Because His glory was divine, And, He says to me, Come on across To Paradise, Thou Art Mine!
