BRIEF OF THE MEETING OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE NLM HELD 30/08/2014 The meeting of the General Assembly of the New Lagos Movement held this past Saturday, 30 August, 2014 at the Wealth Avenue Hall in Ikeja, Lagos State. Members reviewed the activities of the Movement and commended members commitment to the campaign to guaranteeing internal democracy in our party, the All Progressive Congress. The leadership and rank and file of the Movement were congratulated and given a standing ovation for leading the struggle that have now resulted in a public commitment by the National Executive of the APC to conducting direct primary elections as the basis for the emergence of the party flag bearers to fill all elective offices. The General Assembly, however, while calling on the leadership of the party to keep a close watch on the processes leading to the different primary elections, warned that vigilance is of essence so that the will of the generality of members of the party is not subverted on the alter of the selfish interest of a few powerful members. The meeting was thereafter adjourned to Saturday, September 13 2014 at 3.00pm at the same venue
