BRILLIANT NEWS Gibbs scan went really well today, Unkle Mike (cardiologist) still wants to keep him on his Beta Blockers to be safe but things are greatly improved, the pressure in his heart is now down from in the 100s to double figures. Gibbs had to be sedated for his scan as he is still so fiesty so Unkle Mike would like us to train Gibbs to lie still so that at his next scan (in 12 months) he can get the results without the effects of the sedative. Gibbs is allowed to have a totally normal life and has been given the all clear to return to his swimming lessons plus the next time he goes to the cabin he can now explore the woods with Kira yay. We really cant thank you all enough, Mike told us today that without the surgery we wouldnt have Gibbs here today, he also agreed with Mike who carried out the surgery that Gibbs should live to see double figures. Oh and he doesnt see any reason why Gibbs cant be castrated so Kira will eventually get some peace. Kira spent this afternoon on pins worrying about her brother, she had her booster jabs whilst we waited at the vets and was a total star, her heart rate hit 200 purely from worrying about Gibbs, the minute we got him back she checked him all over, gave him a kiss and calmed down, since coming home she has taken back the role of his little nurse. Without you all we dont know how we would have managed over the last 6 months, having you all to share this time with us has made the hard times bearable. No matter how we say thank you it will never be enough to tell you how we feel but ..................
