BRONCO REFLECTIONS The Kenwood Academy, Class of 1984 will be celebrating our 30 year class reunion this weekend. Im soooooo excited!! Kenwood Academy was a part of my lifes journey. It was a grace-filled blessing & a privilege to have walked the halls of 5015 S. Blackstone! God has been GOODER than GOOD! Why do we attend reunions (10, 20, 30...)? Folks have a myriad of reasons for doing so. Some of them good & some not so good. Ive never been one to keep my foot in the past, but catching up with old friends and an occasional glance back over ones past will keep u grateful, proactive & excited for ones future! I go because Im grateful to God for the friendships cultivated & experiences I had coming through The Wood from 80-84! I know everyone thinks their high school was the greatest... And I wouldnt begin to get into a comparison match of one-upsmanship to list ALL the reasons why Kenwood was so AWESOME. Suffice it to say that being born in the 60s, coming of age in the 80s, growing up in Chicago/ Hyde Park (from 66-84), the temperament of America, and the melting pot of characters at The Wood, created a formula for success AND the fondest of memories! When your steps are ordered of The Lord, youre bound to have positive thoughts & reflections of your past. Im looking for as many 84 BRONCOS as I can... BRING ON THE CELEBRATION!!
