BReaking NEws (jatinder) FAREWELL PARTY FOR BAMS STUDENTS ORGANISED Desh Bhagat PG School of Ayurveda and Research, (Formerly Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College) students of BAMS Final (Professional) (2010-11 Batch) organized a farewell party ‘Bon Voyage’ for their seniors (Batch 2009-10) with great fervour and joy. Desh Bhagat University Chancellor, Dr. Zora Singh and Pro Chancellor Tejinder Kaur inaugurated the function by lighting the ceremonial lamp in front of Lord Dhanvantry. While speaking on the occasion, they conveyed their best wishes to the students and emphasized that they should work hard and promote Ayurveda to the maximum. Pro Vice-Chancellor and Director General of Desh Bhagat Group, Dr. Shalini Gupta said that the students must feel pride that they are graduating in a traditional and rich system of medicine of the world. She wished the students a bright future. Director Dr. Kulbhushan and Principal Dr. Smita Johar also bestowed best wishes on the students and wished them all success in life. A Cultural programe was arranged on this occasion, in which students performed Solo Dance, Geet, Bhangra and Fun Games etc. The main attraction of the party was singing performance by the outgoing students, who also performed a skit. After different rounds of games and quiz, Mayui Mahanta clinched the title of Miss Talent & Iqbal Singh was chosen Mr. Talent, while Jyotshna Gorsi got ‘Miss Farewell’ and Ajay Kumar Attri won Mr. Farewell title. The students who had made distinguished achievements during the academic session were also honoured. University Registrar Dr. Virinder Singh and directors of different university schools were also present on this occasion.
