BSD schools receive Character Education Award - Six Belton School District buildings were recognized by the Character Education Partnership (CEP) for Character Education with the Promising Practices Award. Belton High School, BOSCO, Gladden Elementary, Grace Early Child Care and Education Center, Hillcrest Elementary and Kentucky Trail Elementary were given the award. Each year, the CEP gives Promising Practices Awards to schools and districts in the United States and elsewhere for implementing unique and specific strategies in character education. To receive a Promising Practice, schools must demonstrate how they put one or more of the 11 principles of character education into action. This year, Gladden, Grace and Hillcrest each received two awards. To see the full list of awards, visit the Belton School District website at beltonschools.org.
