BSISD Loses 3 Beloved Staff Members: Big Spring Independent School District as well as the community remains in shock as the passing of Mr. Danny Ferrell marks 3 beloved staffers who have passed away over the Christmas break. As students are scheduled to return to school tomorrow morning, George Bancroft, Community Relations Coordinator for BSISD says that the school districts job is to continue doing business and, while we deliver instruction our job is, on occasions like this, to deliver a lot of love. Mr. Ferrells funeral service has been set for this Friday at 2:00pm in Trinity Baptist Church. Carol Green, who served BSISD for over 30 years in many capacities, most recently as a Computer Teacher at Big Spring Junior High, passed away December 25th. Coach Jim Campbell, the Athletic Trainer for BSISD, passed away December 24th. Mr. Bancroft says that the district will do its best to carry on without them, even though it has lost valuable professionals, community members, and part of the family.
