BSS Student-to-Student Mentorship Program **NOTE: This student-to-student mentorship program is a SEPARATE program from the Hill Mentorship Program, which pairs 3rd & 4th year students up with a business corporate! ______________________________________________________ New year, new mentees and new mentors! The Business Students’ Society (BSS) is looking for students new and old to join the Mentorship Program. The BSS Mentorship Program will act as a buddy system to give new students the opportunity to make a friend and gain valuable information from a student who has the years of experience within the school. It also gives the older students a chance to gain experience being a leader. This year, each older student will be paired with two newer students, and as a team you will be able to contact each other for anything, whether it is to find the quickest way to a class or to find where the microwave is. It is also a great way for newer students to get involved in their school. University is full of great opportunities, so experience them! Coming into university life it never hurts to have another person’s experiences to help guide you. The BSS represents the students of Paul J. Hills School of Business at the University of Regina. They aim to enrich the student experience through enabling students to put classroom knowledge into practice, interact with the business community, and develop skill sets through networking events, academic competitions, social interaction, and business dealings. Many of our mentors within the Mentorship Program are part of the BSS council, which gives newer students great insight within the BSS. This is also a great first step in engaging yourself to reveal the full university experience. Check out the Hill BSS website: hillbss/ Commitment to this program is completely up to you, it can be as high or low as you want it. This program is in place to help students succeed and feel comfortable at university. Our first Mentorship program Meet & Greet will be at the start of October.
