BUAV - The Campaign to End All Animal Experiments This is Mia and her puppies. Mia arrived at a UK laboratory owned by MSD Animal Health on the 29th October 2013 with her six, two and a half week old puppies. Within less than 4 weeks, two of her puppies had been killed. Exactly one year ago today, it was the turn of dear Mia and her remaining four puppies who were killed by a lethal injection. The puppies’ small bodies were dissected for tissue samples, and Mia’s body was discarded as waste – with her puppies dead she was no longer ‘required’ by the laboratory. These dogs never got to enjoy freedom outside the laboratory or the love of a human family. Instead their lives were tragically cut short. Today we remember this cruel loss of life.
