BULLSEYE DOG OF THE DAY! JENNY!!! **IMMEDIATE FOSTER - TopicsExpress

BULLSEYE DOG OF THE DAY! JENNY!!! **IMMEDIATE FOSTER NEEDED** Jenny was rescued several months ago outside an abandoned Atlanta prison. She had neck wounds from whatever chain she had previously being tethered to. Shed had many litters of puppies because no one bothered to spay her, and of course, she was heartworm positive. She gave smooches to her rescuers and kissed them all the way to the vet because she was REALLY happy to go for a ride in the car. In fact, riding in cars is in her top 10 favorite things! (Other top 10 items are eating, sleeping, going for walks, cuddling with humans, and heiney scritches—OMG, LOVE THE HEINEY SCRITCHES!!!!) As rescuers, we dont know all of Jennys history. We can tell a lot from their condition upon rescue, but, frankly, if we did know all of our dogs histories, we wouldnt do this. It would be far too painful. It gets rough enough on a daily basis as it stands. And, we’re kind of glad that Jenny’s not talking. Jenny is currently in boarding, and we absolutely don’t like it. We don’t like rescuing a dog who loves life and putting them in a jail cell. (We do see some rescue irony here.) Plus Jenny is shutting down emotionally in boarding. She can’t take it. She needs to be in a home where someone loves her. Even if it’s a FOSTER home. Fostering saves lives. Kennel stress can make or break a dog, and right now it’s breaking Jenny. Jenny is a special girl. She is dog selective. She doesn’t care for most dogs and would do best as the only pet in a home. We believe that Jenny would thrive in a home with an EXPERIENCED FOSTER OR EXPERIENCED ADOPTER who understands what Jenny can expect from them and not just what they can expect from her. (As an aside, I adopted a dog-selective, former bait dog once, and after she underwent training, she turned into the BEST dog who ever owned me. We had a deal: if she met a dog she didnt like or was confronted with an uncomfortable situation, she listened to my obedience command first--instead of reacting to the uncomfortable situation--then I removed her from the big, old scary that was in her face. Meeting other dogs wasn’t a deal-breaker, it became a teachable moment for both of us. It worked. (~a) ) We know that Jenny is an amazing girl who has a lot to offer the right person, and we will stick by her no matter what until we find that person! Either you want to adopt this dog, know someone who does, or they know someone who does. SO, PLEASE SHARE THIS POST FAR AND WIDE SO WE CAN FIND THE RIGHT HOME FOR THIS ADOPT-A-BULL! Its all about the dogs here at BullsEye, and nothing matters more to us than finding these precious souls the RIGHT home where theyll be loved and cared for FOREVER! If you think you are the right person to volunteer as her foster, please contact bullseye.fosters@gmail. If you think you are the right person to offer her a FOREVER home, please complete an adoption application at BullsEyeRescue/phpForm/adoption_form.html.
