BUNIFU TECHNOLOGIES REPRESENTS KENYA IN RWANDA EAC EXPO By #BCNcorrespondent The Baringo based young techies and innovators who are the owners of Bunifu Technologies Company Ltd are in Kigali Rwanda to showcase one of their flagship products-Sniper Anti-malware at the 15th East Africa Community (EAC) Jua Kali/Nguvu Kazi Exhibition. The team was selected to represent Kenya and Baringo county after their products and technology emerged as one of the best during the National Jua Kali Conference that went down in September this year. The East African Community Secretariat in collaboration with Partner States and Confederation of Informal Sector Organizations (CISO-EA) organized the 15th EAC Jua Kali/Nguvu Kazi Exhibition from 1 – 7 December, 2014 in Kigali, Rwanda. Symon Chesang of Kapkuikui Bee Keepers is also with Bunifu Technologies on behalf of Baringo. Mr Chesang is exhibiting the natural honey from Lake Bogoria. Speaking to Baringo County News on phone, Chesang and Bunifu representatives expressed their gratitude to the county Government, through the department of Tourism and Commerce for the support saying the expo has opened a bigger market for them. We are having a bigger opportunity here. People are excited of our products as they emerge to be very unique in Rwanda and other countries participating, said Wilberforce Seguton, Bunifu Technologies team leader. The theme of this year’s exhibition is Developing Micro and Small Enterprises Sector for Sustainable Regional Integration and Economic Growth. The main objective of the exhibition is to bring together the artisans of the Region with the purpose of opening up new market frontiers for their products particularly in this vast Common Market with a population of over 140 million people, and at the same time bridging the technological gaps between them. Up to one thousand (1,000) Exhibitors drawn from all the EAC Partners are present in the Exhibition. The expo enters its third day today.
