BURA LAGTA HAI LAGE DUNIYA KO A rare deleted song from MANMAUJI 1962, sung by Kishoreda , written by Rajinder Krishanji and composed by Madan Mohanji Click ‘ See More’ for link to the song and details Many songs in various films get deleted from films for various reasons.. Some are deleted after being filmed and thus the visuals could now be available through DVDs / youtube , if subsequently added to the video releases … others are not filmed at all and thus no film clips have been seen.. some are not even issued on the original records and thus never even got radio play or any exposure. Many songs composed by Madan Mohanji from released films , too got lost as they were not in the film when originally released. We will over next few weeks share some of these songs , which, although ,are now available on youtube, [ with or without film clips] but remain less heard. Earlier ,we posted the deleted songs ‘Chand Madham Hai’ from Railway Platform, ‘Sapne Mein Sajanse’ from Gateway Of India , ‘Jaana Tha Humse Door’ from Adalat ‘Woh Chand Muskaaya ’ from Aakhri Dao ,‘ Meri Mehboob Kahin Aur Milakar’ from Ghazal , ‘ Khelo Na Mere Dilse ‘ from Haqeeqat ,‘Pyar Kya Hota Hai’ from Ek Kali Muskayi , ‘Chirag Dilka Jalao’ from Chirag, ‘Mast Pawan Dole Re’ from Bawarchi ‘ Tere Kooche Mein Tera Deewana’ from Heer Ranjha , ‘ Jis Dinse Maine Tumko Dekha Hai’ from Parwana and ‘Duniya Bananewale’ from Hindustan Ki Kasam MANMAUJI 1962, starring Kishore Kumar and Sadhana , had some popular songs, like Zaroorat Hi Ek Shrimati ki, Main To Tum Sang Nain Milake, Chanda Jaa re jaa, Ek tha Abdul Rehman and others . A fun song , to introduce the ‘ I don’t care’ character of the MANMAUJI played by Kishoreda was recorded.. When it was initially released on 78 rpm records, and played on radio, it was found to be objectionable as authorities felt it would instigate defiance.. it was banned.. records were cancelled , and it never featured in the film.. We are not sure if it was filmed as we have never seen the visuals.. we have heard that the makers were instructed to destroy the negative of the song, but we cant say for sure, as it is not substantiated.. however the rare song with a fabulous rendition by the great actor- singer, is fun to hear today , and we can imagine how Kishoreda would have enacted it .
