BUSH HOUSE NIGERIA: I Shall Return, By Gods Grace! 1.0 If you listened to our Network Edition today in the afternoon, you may have heard that it is the last edition I shall anchor for sometime. Sad, right? Yes, its sadder for me. I love being on air! 2.0 I used to think that nothing could keep me out of being anchor. Now, I know better. As my age counts down, my interests are changing. For instance, in the past I kept swearing that I could never live outside Nigeria. Suddenly, my current fantasy is to relocate to London. Thief! 3.0 No, I am not leaving BUSH HOUSE NIGERIA because I am moving to London. Not yet. I am leaving because a man I love and respect and support has called on me to take up a central position on his Team with a view to contributing my mite to the el Doradoic Akwa Ibom State we all envisage, post-2015. Effective 1st September, 2014, I shall be away from my BHN desk to answer that call, or rather, to take up the challenge! 4.0 To be sure, I have been involved with Mr. Umana Okon Umanas Akwa Ibom Project longer than the project itself. You may recall that I broke news of the ambition far back in November, 2011 right inside the main bowl of Eemjm Banquet Hall. The event was a thank you party for my political family, M&B Visions. It is the capacity crowds cacophonous applause that greeted that introductory announcement on that November evening which replays and assures of success in spite of and despite man-made horrible weather! 5.0 Before now, it was easy to combine my UOU roles with BUSH HOUSE NIGERIA. Not with this new position. This one shall keep me at the front lines. His Director of Operations is a day to day, if not a second by second, job. The position is not one you can/should combine with interviewing/presenting on Radio/TV. You stand the risk of being accused of saying stuff or asking certain questions because of your political leaning. THAT IS THE MAIN REASON I AM EXCUSING MYSELF FROM ACTIVE ON-AIR PARTICIPATION FOR THE NEXT NINE MONTHS! 6.0 God willing, I shall return to BUSH HOUSE NIGERIA and on-air duties on Saturday, 30th May, 2015 at 4.30pm. Or, to be on the safer side, since our Network air time can change, I shall stage a comeback 24 hours after Mr. Umana Okon Umana would have been sworn in as Governor of my home State for 2015-2019, IJN! 7.0 Finally, let me glorify/ask God for grace; thank NG/family for the confidence; appreciate Mrs. BUSH, and the BHN Team and you all for the understanding. Management shall meet on Monday, 1st September, 2014, to decide how the Company should adapt to this sudden development. I pray for BHN. I pray for UOU. I pray for me; you; us.
