BUSHFIRE ADVICE: DELAMERE (Final update unless conditions change) The CFS, Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources and Forestry SA will continue to work on strengthening containment lines on a fire on Yoho Road and Nowhere Else Road near Delamere and Second Valley Forest on the Southern Fleurieu Peninsula. Although this fire is contained, people need to be aware of the potential risk to lives and property if the fire were to escape containment lines as conditions deteriorate during the day and overnight. Those living, working or traveling through the areas of Delamere, living on or near Main South Road West of Delamere and near Starfish Hill or Wattle Hill need to activate their bushfire survival plan and monitor local conditions. Firefighting activity will continue over the next few days. People are advised that emergency vehicles will be working in the area during this time and smoke and dust may be present. If you are in the area and see flames not being attended to by emergency crews please call 000. Please be advised no further messages regarding the Delamere fire will be issued unless conditions change. Stay tuned to 891 ABC Adelaide on a battery-powered radio for updates. For information about bushfires, check the CFS website cfs.sa.gov.au or call the Bushfire Information Hotline on 1300 362 361.
