BUSHFIRE WATCH AND ACT: SAMPSON FLAT Time Message Issued: 01:24 Date Message Issued: 06/01/2015 CFS advises that a bushfire at Sampson Flat in the Mount Lofty Ranges near One Tree Hill, Humbug Scrub, Parra Wirra Recreation Park, Mount Crawford, Kersbrook, Birdwood, Gumeracha, Kenton Valley, Cudlee Creek area and Inglewood may threaten your safety. The Sampson Flat fire is continuing to burn and cause concern in the following areas: Humbug Scrub Road in the vicinity of Para Wirra Recreation Park. South Para Road and Deloraine Road Kersbrook. Gorge Road between Torrens Hill Road Paracombe and Cudlee Creek Road Cudlee Creek. Cudlee Creek Road Cudlee Creek to the intersection of ODea Road and Netherhill Road Kenton Valley. It is expected that fire behaviour will be driven by gully winds overnight. Fire crews continue to work in these areas. The entire perimeter of the Sampson Flat fire may have active hotspots. The uncontrolled fire is burning in scrub and grass. Check and follow your Bushfire Survival Plan and prepare for a bushfire in your area. If your plan is to leave or you are not prepared, leave now. Only leave if the path is clear to a safe place. Well prepared and actively defended homes can offer safety. You should not enter this area as roads may not be safe.
