BUSTER THE FEMALE DOG My best friend dog, disappeared a few years - TopicsExpress

BUSTER THE FEMALE DOG My best friend dog, disappeared a few years ago. I used to put bread out for the birds and noticed it disappeared rather fast. It was Buster. She was eating the bread. After she stopped barking at me when Id throw her some bread, we became friends. I put a Corningware dish out for her with water and shed always stop to drink it. The neighbor and I thought she was abandoned in the park nearby and the neighbor rescued her. She became a good watchdog for the illegal Rx pill business there, a little bit down the hill. Buster would take shoes off of peoples porches I assumed as she had a bunch of half a pair of shoes. She also liked to gather branches and eat the insects in them. I guess she learned to survive in the park and perhaps the woods beyond that after she was abandoned; though she might have run away. She followed me down the hill one day and was sitting in the middle of the lane in the main street in front of a car that had to stop. I said, Buster, doggy, and pointed at her and moved my finger to the sidewalk and she got up from the road and sat down on the sidewalk. She looks like a cross between a Greyhound and a Dalmation as she is thin, but large and has black and white coloring, but not spots like a Dalmation. Wish I had taken a picture of her. Once she was coming up the back street and looked so worn out. I called her and she came to me and I put my hand on her head and prayed for her. She livened up and I began to walk down the back yard and she layed on her back and slid down beside her. What a dog! She found what looks like tar paper that covered part of the edge of the yard at the house and where a pool used to be. Shed put it on the ground and lay down on her back and rub her head on it. She was smart but seemed retarded also. She loved the game of, Wheres the ball? and she would go get it but would run around and not give it to me, all excited. Another thing she would do is if I clapped, she ran around in a very large circle. The neighbor kids up above mustve seen me do this, because one day I saw her running around and the kids were excited as I could hear them laughing, but couldnt see them. They mustve done the clap thing. Buster disappeared. One day the daughter of the woman who adopted Buster was walking up into the empty lot with her large dog and I talked with her. She mentioned that Buster disappeared and didnt know anything about her. I thought they may have sold her, but didnt. I miss you Buster. Some of us believe that dogs will show up in Heaven and perhaps show a scripture or two about that. I hope so. One can do an Internet search on that and find this.
