BUYERS ... I have heard some horror stories recently of tactics employed by certain Estate Agents ... Please note... 1) If you make an offer on a property the Estate Agent is LEGALLY obliged to put that offer to the vendor ... 2) You DO NOT have to see their Mortgage Adviser to put an Offer in on a property, and feel free to advise them of their legal requirement ! 3) You buying the property is not dependent on using their Mortgage Advisor/ Solictor etc ... refer them to point one, and ask that their manager confirm this in writing if they insist, I bet they dont ... DO NOT be bullied by Estate Agents, refer them to your adviser, who is hopefully is XL Finance (!), all advisers (XL Finance or not), will be happy to liaise with Estate Agents to reaffirm the position of the client buying.
