BWF akan Jajal Sistem skor Baru mulai Agustus di turnamen turnamen kecil. KUALA LUMPUR : Badminton’s governing body yesterday said it plans to test a new scoring system from August to make matches more exciting, despite players’ opposition to the rule changes. The Badminton World Federation (BWF) said the new system would be based on five games rather than the current three. Each game would be played to 11 points, instead of 21, and the winner would not have to be ahead by two clear points – a requirement of the existing system. “Following the BWF Council meeting on 30 May, it has been agreed to invite tournament hosts to trial this scoring option, starting from August,” the BWF said in a statement. The current best-of-three format was introduced in 2006. BWF president Poul-Erik Hoyer said the time spent completing games and matches “has somewhat compromised the level of excitement”. The federation said it hoped to test the new system in small tournaments between August and November, but made it clear that it would consult all stakeholders and that no decision had been taken on the timing of any potential changes. Chinese superstar Lin Dan – considered by many to be the greatest player of all time with five world, two Olympic and five all-England titles under his belt – was one of the players to voice concern, saying the changes would lead to confusion among players and fans. “I don’t like it. I don’t think making changes like this is good for the game,” Lin told reporters in May at the Thomas and Uber Cup team championships in New Delhi. Mereka akan memakai sistem skor yang baru mulai Agustus mendatang. Sistem yang dipakai nanti adalah 5x11. Namun, kemenangan tiga game sudah cukup untuk menundukkan lawannya. Selain itu, sistem baru tersebut juga takada deuce atau selisih dua jika skor imbang di poin-poin terakhir. ‘’Dari pertemuan BWF pada 30 Mei lalu telah disetujui untuk memakai sistem baru,’’ terang BWF dalam pernyataannya. Presiden BWF Poul-Erik Hoyer mengatakan bahwa sistem baru ini akan membuat persaingan bakal semakin ketat. Dia menambahkan, sistem 5x11 ini bakal dicoba dalam beberapa turnamen kecil antara Agustus hingga November. Setelah itu,tambah Poul, hasilnya akan dikonsultasikan layak dilakukan apa tidak. Sebelumnya, sistem skor di bulu tangkis sudah mengalami beberapa perubahan. Semula,game 15 dengan dua set kemenangan, Hanya, di tunggal putri, poin kemenangan di angka 11. Setelah itu, sempat dipakai game 7 dengan tiga set kemenangan. Inovasi ini belum tuntas. BWF pun memperkenalkan sistem reli poin dengan poin terakhir 21 pada tahun 2007. ● intinya tetap sistem rally point tapi hanya sampai 11. Pemenang nya adalah pemain yang lebih dahulu bisa ambil 3 set,, pertandingan bisa saja berlangsung selama 4 atau 5 set. Jika lawan bisa mengambil 1 atau dua set. Di sistem ini tidak ada Duece dan yang menang tidak harus selisih dua point. Contoh : simon menang atas LCW : 11-10 , 6-11 , 11-8 , 11-10 INGAT ini baru akan di uji coba di turnamen kecil saja.
