BY SPEED POST Hon’ble Mr. Keshav Desiraju, Secretary to Govt. of India & Chairman, SFC of PGI, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi-110011. Subject: - Request for an early appointment. Respected Sir, With due reverence, we, on behalf of PGI Employees Union, Chandigarh request your good honour to accord us an appointment to discuss the demands and grievances of PGI Employees Union, which has been either pending consideration / considered in the Ministry of Health and F.W. or concern it as Nodal Ministry. Your good self will recall that the representative of Union had met your good self on 6th July, 2013 during your visit to the Institute on the eve of concluding function of Golden Jubilee of the Institute. A number of issues were discussed and some of them, which were pending adjudication before the Hon’ble CAT, Chandigarh Bench, have been answered in the judgment dated 10.7.2013. It is relevant to mention that these issues were the subject matter of a PIL in CWP No. 4128 of 1994, which were transferred to CAT by the Hon’ble High Court by its orders dated 14.1.2010. The Union wish to discuss the longstanding demands and grievances now decided in the judgment dated 10.7.2013 so that these are implemented as a good will gesture and as a gift for Golden Jubilee of Institute and keeping in view the hardships and miseries faced by the non-faculty staff during the last 2 decades. The Union hopes that the PGI and UOI will not challenge the judgment dated 10.7.2013 in the Hon’ble High Court, Chandigarh. Earlier, the Governing Body in its meeting held on 6.7.2013 has already decided to withdraw the writ petition filed by PGI in the case of Faculty Staff. The Union hope that your good honour will accord us an appointment in the interest of justice. With kind regards, Yours faithfully, Dated: - 17.08.2013 (Sunil Dutt Sharma) (Ashwani Kumar Munjal) (Ravinder Kumar Saini) President Chairman General Secretary 1. Hon’ble Sh. Ghulam Nabi Azad, Union Health Minister cum President of PGIMER, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi-110011.
