BYE BYE ANTONIO WEISS! Who ever said POLITICAL PROTEST doesnt work -- well it worked this week when #AntonioWeiss ducked out of the nomination for undersecretary to Treasury. Protest especially works when supported by those with a clear common sense vision, #ElizabethWarren #BernieSanders #ZephyrTeachout #TimWu #MoveOn #AltBanking who understand that we need those in government that are prepared to stand up to Wall Street, not pay homage to its interests. Many claim this fight is about the soul of the Democratic Party, where the real progressives are fighting to keep the partys agenda transparent and true to the populist ideas. Here are photos of the recent protest vs Citibank where groups came together to protest the Weiss nomination in front of Citibank, as well participated in a march to Weiss placement of employment, Lazard at Rockefeller Center. The fact that Lazard helped Burger King acquire the Canadian fast-food chain Tim Hortons, then assisted its move to headquarters abroad, presented the greatest obstacle to Mr. Weiss’s nomination.
