Ba aim for victory; chase 20th league title The David Ali-coached 4R Electrical Ba side is confident of victory over Lautoka in their Fiji Sun/ Skipper Tuna National Football League match at Govind Park, Ba on Sunday. Ali said the team was looking fine with areas needed to be polished. “We have brought discipline in the team looking at our last match (8-1 over Nadroga),” Ali said. “We are still building on our combination which is something we have to work on until the end of the season. “We have regrouped as we have talked to the boys after losing four. Well there will be some changes to the team as we will be fielding a mix of youth and senior players,” he said. The ‘Men in Black’ is currently on third spot with 19 points behind pack leader Suva with 24 points and Nadi (21) on second. Meanwhile, Ba FA secretary Iliyaz Khan has called on supporters of the Ba team to come in great numbers. He was referring to the coaching position that was left vacant by Yogendra Dutt and Arvind Singh (manager) a fortnight ago. “We would love to thank the soccer-loving fans of Ba, despite people hearing there is a problem in Ba Football,” Khan said. “There is nothing wrong; players, officials and the vanua are united. I can confirm what has been highlighted so far in the media is nothing as far as I know.” Khan thanks the senior players for taking control of the Ba team. “Our mission is to win our 20th league title this year. We are also thankful to the senior players for assisting the team,” Khan said. The Ba – Lautoka match kicks off at 3pm while the Youth teams clash at 1pm. Soucre: fijisun
