Ba coach happy with win 4R Electrical Ba team coach Salen Lal was on cloud nine after his side defeated Fastkil Suva 5-3 in the first leg of the 2015 Pillay Garments Champion vs Champion series at the ANZ Stadium in Suva. Lal, who made his playing career debut with Ba at the same stadium in 2003, dedicated the win to the fans. For me, personally, it’s something I’ll always remember. It’s a milestone, and I have to take my hat off to the players for doing such a good job, finding a way to win against Suva, he said. The credit goes to the senior players. I think they were moulding the team well and I think my subs really worked hard. “Great effort by the entire team and this win is for fans back at home. “We will go back on the drawing board and will work on our weakness and will be back more prepared in our next leg. The former Ba rep urged fans to continue to support the team particularly in view of the forthcoming Oceania Champions League. This is a good start and will boost the morale of team. “As you all know Ba’s performance was not to par last season and I request all loyal fans to support the team and officials. Ba have won the CVC title 18 times and appeared in the series 21 times. The MIB only need a draw to clinch the Pillay Garments Champion vs Champion series for the 19th time. The second-leg of the CVC will be held this Sunday at Govind Park, kicking off at 3pm. Source : FFA
