Baby Jack update: Jack was happy to get up and go to church this - TopicsExpress

Baby Jack update: Jack was happy to get up and go to church this morning. He had a great time visiting all his friends and being a clown. He just had to play with his new , light up ball during the sermon and was not satisfied until he managed to chunk it out into the aisle. Im so thankful for a church full of laid back, loving, people who have a sense of humor. Jack wiggled and squirmed himself to sleep and napped in my arms for the rest of the service. He is so angelic when hes asleep. Thats really the only time I can trust him not to get into mischief! My sleepy boy perked right up though, when we arrived at Nonnie and Pops house. He had roast beef, green beans, and macaroni for lunch. Then he played with all the kids. He even had a game of catch with Pops. Then, we headed back to church. This time, Mr. Wiggles sat with his Gigi. I could hear him being silly and blowing bubbles back there, happy as can be. After that, we all went to Papa and Gigis house for dinner. Uncle Jace, Aunt Jaraka, and Baby Aria were there too. Jack sat in his high chair and demanded more and more rice. He was shoveling handfuls into his mouth so happily and I was proud of him for eating. Then, I looked under his chair and realized that with every few grains of rice that actually made it into his mouth, a dozen more rained down to the floor. Feeding a baby is messy and often wasteful, but does that mean we should stop doing it? Of course not. Well, sometimes our efforts to share Gods Word seem to be wasted on those who dont receive it. Our precious seeds of truth fall on deaf ears and trickle down to the floor. That can be discouraging, but should we stop doing it? Of course not. We have to remember, that for every dozen people who miss the point, someone out there might actually be getting it for the very first time. We have to keep sharing Gods Word, even if most people dont listen, because we never know who God will speak to through our efforts. And Gods Word is never really wasted. Remember, It is living, active, and sharper than any two-edged sword. It will always accomplish what it is supposed to when it goes forth, even if all we can see at the time, is the scattered seed on the ground. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. (Psalm 126:6) I praise God for His precious Word and the privilege it is to share it with the world. I thank Him for my little boy, who daily reminds me of Gods power and grace. Thank you for praying to keep Jack healthy, eating, and breathing.
