Baby Shawn at his private session with coach Steven. Coach Steven was raised at the Naval Academy where his father taught and his mother started the gymnastics program, he trained under a communist European coach as a boy, is now in the ROTC program at ASU, has no personality, shows very little emotion, is extremely technical, and can be hard to please; but he is baby Shawns favorite coach! Son asks to see him and loves spending time with him at his one-on-ones. We are happy that son is able to adapt to various types of coaching styles and that we have coaches that work to adapt to such an affectionate boy as Baby Shawn is - which means adjusting to son trying to hold hands while they walk to the next station or randomly wanting a hug in the middle of training hahaha This is the ring routine son is working on for the USA Flairs Intra-Squad Meet in December; this only routine meet he can compete in until next year as he is ineligible to compete in any USA sanctioned meets until he turns 6.
