Baby weight gain ---- Hi CMs! Was just wondering if anyone has had the same experience as me: My son is 12 weeks old and is above the 95th percentile in weight and height, exclusively breastfed. He weighed 4.2 kilos at birth and weighs 8.2 kilos now (we weighed him this morning). But his weight gain is starting to worry me, hes averaging about 450 grams a week! I have spoken to my mach nurse about it and she assures me that he is completely healthy BUT if he keeps on gaining like this shell recommend that we go to a doctor to make sure theres not something more wrong. Hes a really calm baby, barely cries, smiles and engages and talks with us, and sleeps eight hours a night, his only problem being that his poos are quite smelly and liquid and have been for a while though he displays no other symptoms of sickness at all. I know that given all that I should be grateful, and trust me I am, but I cant help feeling anxious that its all too good to be true! I have an anxiety disorder so am having difficulty figuring out if this is me projecting on him or if my intuition is telling me something is wrong... Have any of you had this experience and it turned out to be something bad? TIA ❤
