Bachelor of Design & Arts - Whanganui UCOL campus Creativity embraces contemporary and traditional media in this unique degree – bringing together cutting-edge technology with time-honoured technique. The art and design world is highly demanding and competitive, constantly changing and evolving, and designers and artists are continually challenged to be innovative and break new ground. Majors within the Degree The Bachelor of Design and Arts has three majors: Visual Arts, Graphic Design and Textile/Fashion Design which will be delivered separately by specialist staff. Students will focus on one of the three majors and will also work collaboratively within a range of shared core and elective papers Career and study pathways Employment opportunities for BDA graduates are exciting and diverse, and depending on the students chosen major could include: Graphic designer, practicing artist, fashion designer, gallery curator, videographer, animator, marketing career, movie industry careers, television careers, product design, , costume design, theatre and prop design, photographer, art or design administration and management, secondary and tertiary teaching. ucol.ac.nz/Programmes/Arts/292/overview
