Bachelor of Science in Accountancy Through the concerted efforts of the Board of Accountancy of the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC), the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS), Philippine Association of Collegiate Schools of Business (PACSB) and the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants Foundations (PICPA): DECS Order No. 5 s. 1990 was issued and implemented starting SY 1990-91 for the professionalization of the accounting profession by adopting the baccalaureate degree of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA). In UNP, Board Resolution No. 37, s. 1990 approved and confirmed the offering of the degree starting SY 1990-91. The mission of the professional accounting education is to prepare students for careers in accounting and to make them ready to deal effectively with the problems they will face as professional accountants and responsible citizens. (Article III, Policies and standards for Accounting Education). Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Financial Management By virtue of Board Resolution No. 54, s. 2007 the offering of the degree was approved and confirmed. The curriculum for financial management is intended to produce graduates who should be able to provide a professional banking and financial management services to financial institutions, businesses and other organizations. Major in Human Resource Development Management Board Resolution No. 54, s. 2007 approved and confirmed the offering of the degree. The primary objective of this discipline is to prepare students to be able to apply their knowledge and skills in planning, organizing, directing and controlling business operations as self employed or employed managers. Major in Management Accounting By virtue of Board Resolution No. 19., s. 1994 the offering of the degree was approved and confirmed. The curriculum for management accounting is to prepare students to provide professional advisory or consultancy services to profitable and non-profitable organizations by applying an analytical approach and process in reviewing the organizations systems and procedures: Identify managerial problems in planning, organizing, directing and controlling. Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship Cognizant of the national thrust for productivity and countryside development, this curriculum is a new program offered in the University through Board Resolution No. 73, s. 2000. The course aimed to prepare students to become successful entrepreneurs or self-employed in order to contribute to the national campaign for employment generation through entrepreneurship. The program is based on the concept that revolution must come from within where self-help become the focus of all entrepreneurial activities. The concept of self-productivity encompasses the total conceptual framework of the program which provides professional training in product identification and development, production marketing and personnel management, accounting including electronic data processing. The approaches and strategies highly motivate the students to undergo training introduction and business venture. Bachelor of Science in Cooperative Management Board Resolution No. 73, s. 2000 approved and confirmed the offering of the degree. The curriculum is intended to produce graduates who should be able to apply their knowledge and skills in the organizations or in the development and management of cooperatives and participate actively in the socio economic programs/projects of their respective communities by playing the roles as advisers, proponents, initiators, planners, organizers and/or resource speakers. Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Administration (Ladderized Curriculum) By virtue of Board Resolution No. 54, s. 1996 the offering of the degree was approved and confirmed. The program aims to provide adequate technical training and proficiency in Hotel and Restaurant Administration and assure embodiment of right attitude among the students for them to be able to face the emerging complexities of the business world. Non- Degree Programs Associate in Office Management (Two-Year Course) The two-year Associate in Office Management by Board Resolution No. 54, s. 1996, the curriculum aims to develop qualified secretaries whose services are extremely necessary in today’s dynamic business establishments, government institutions, professional practitioners offices etc. the present role of secretaries are executive extenders is given emphasis in the curriculum which provides not only technical skills training in typewriting, short and transcription and computer word processing, but likewise in communication skills, bookkeeping business mathematics, business psychology, sociology economics, personality development, public relations and organization and office management.
