Back after a break from Facebook for two weeks or so. I needed that, to introspect, enjoy some silence, and finish loads of projects. The time not spent on Facebook was spent in (a) Helping to finish the report of the Ramesh Kumar Committee suggesting amendments to the Karnataka Panchayati Raj Act, to strengthen decentralisation, (b) Explaining some of the salient features of the Act in a seminar attended by a large number of Panchayat representatives. Said some blunt things. (c) Meeting Yogendra Yadav once again. That was inspiring! (d) Plotting and helping to design the next level of the learning programme for AAP volunteers. That will be fast tracked now. (e) Strategising on how to take the Gram Panchayat Organisational Development Project to more Panchayats in Karnataka. This is challenging, tough, and a fantastic learning experience, (f) Working hard on the CPRs new initiative on Administrative Process Reforms; youll hear more about that soon, (g) Celebrating my ammas 94th birthday. She was born on Childrens day, naturally. (h) Clambering in and out of a historical railway carriage, photographing and measuring it and then inexpertly and slowly, putting down the measurements on CAD. Nothing like learning, by doing. (i) Laying out a plan for an organic farm, completely using renewable energy and the minimum of water. (j) And I did finally restore these nifty lights, which might have come off a ship; they give the garage a nice steam-punk look. So Im back, to give some AAP haters hell. I see theyve been rather active in my absence! :)
