Back from my gig (launch night of a new venue with a Wedding Planner). Problem is, Ive been deaf in one ear all week. Last Saturday was a night out the Matt Sol, Deb Cowan Foley and Robert. It wasnt Robs singing, and the night wasnt that loud (it was fine). Next day, got up (worse for wear) and as the day progressed I noticed my hearing going and bad ringing. Im going to try ear drops this week, then off to the docs if it persists. Trying to do anything as a DJ like this is horrible. Judging sound levels, taking requests, even speaking on the mic is really hard. Trying to mix...very difficult when you are trying to monitor with your bad ear.. Anyway, I hope it just needs a jet wash or something (got some ear drops which Ill try) and it is not permanent (after tonight, Id consider jacking it in if it is permanent).
