Back from seeing Little Mama. I walked up on her sneaking a piece of a banana muffin from the cake tray they keep out for the residents. When I touched her shoulder and said Hi, she jumped a foot. I think she thought shed been caught with her hand in the cookie jar, so to speak. LOL Then she got all excited to see me and had to drag me around through the ENTIRE facility and introduce me to the residents who were sitting around or walking the halls because TODAY, in her mind all of those residents were her Shero family. It was the sweetest thing. She kept trying to tell me who was married to who and how they fit into her family, and I dont know who was more confused... Little Mama trying to make those random people fit into the family she was remembering, or the residents who werent so certain that she was wrong. :) I took a praline for her treat today. She freakin loves those things and sat and ate it while watching the fish in the aquarium. The residents there watch it like TV. :) I love it. Then as I was leaving, I asked one of the care givers to take a picture of me and LM together, and of course LM was protesting the entire time, but I just held her in a big hug and laughed. At least she didnt bolt and I did get my picture. Im sharing both of the pictures with you. I feel good today. Nothing scary crazy for her today...just her normal confusion...and they said shed been sleeping a lot. Good. That means the frantic part of her brain was turned off. Now I feel better. I have looked upon her face and seen her heart. Today she believes she is surrounded by family. I dont look at that as confusion. I consider it a gift.
