Back from the Salvation Army. Didnt work out quite as well as expected. They were told beforehand that my place is in the back, actually *doing* something (preferably in the kitchen with a few people to boss around), rather than sitting at a table, drinking coffee, and chatting with the guests. So, what did I do in my five hours there? Spent maybe ten minutes in the kitchen, and the rest of the time sitting down, drinking coffee, and chatting with the guests. We had a lot fewer guests than expected, so we were overstaffed (so even less work to do), and as a non-smoker I was a tiny minority. *cough* *cough* After five hours I went home, stripped all the way down to my birth costume (sorry ladies, no photographs, youll have to use your imagination :-) ), showered to get rid of the stench, and had an extra load of laundry to do. Oh well, better luck next time.
