Back from the dentist. Now, it turns out that what I thought was so-so to poor dental insurance is actually GOOD insurance. The dentist comes in and introduces himself by his first name and shakes my hand. Tall, slim gentle, man in his early 40s. We have decided on an extraction, a replacement crown, then removal and replacement of a filling that has gotten decay under it because the back of the tooth fell off at one point. The crown I had, turns out, was done entirely incorrectly and the wrong material! So, were going to do it right this time. I can handle all this, we will do these things and a cleaning over 4 apts between now and the middle of October. My cost isnt going to be nearly as bad as I had thought. Actually, it isnt bad at all. Today, all the digital x-rays and exam were covered at 100%. Im so pleased! Considering, I have had my teeth cleaned once in 25 yrs, it is not that bad. Ill pay out of pocket for a varnish thing to help protect what I have and Im happy to do it.
