Back home from vacation! Due to car trouble we were not able to attend the Savannah Scottish Games on Saturday; we were basically trapped on Tybee Island for the weekend while the car was in the shop. There are, of course, much worse places to be stranded! We were able to walk to the beach, to several fine restaurants, and to the Tybee Island Marine Science Center, which we visited for the first time. Im very grateful for the new coffeehouse on the island, Tybean Art & Coffee Bar! Ill admit I had trouble a few times keeping up with the intellectual-philosophical discussions with Sean Degan and Isa Donald Leo Ray. Sean is Jewish and his insights into the Torah have given me a renewed love and appreciation for the Hebrew Scriptures. Because of the car trouble we were forced to spend Monday night (unplanned) on Tybee Island, which gave us an extra afternoon and evening on the beach as a beautiful, almost-full moon rose over the ocean.
