Back in April I was invited to be a fly-on-the-wall, capturing some behind-the-scenes footage for a feature film being shot partially in the Peterborough area. It was a blast and I was honoured to have a VIP pass to see some remarkable talent on display: the well-oiled cinematography machine that is Karl Janisse and his team; the brilliant performances of Nick Smyth, Jeff Sinasac, Raven Cousins, Sandra DaCosta; the fantastic makeup and effects work of Lexy Anne Robidoux; the astounding ability to not have a crippling anxiety attack by producers Kelly Michael Stewart and R.x. Zammit; and the direction of the wonderful Zachary Ramelan (one of three directors for the anthology). And here, we finally get a glimpse of the product of their hard work, the trailer for their exploitation masterpiece Late Night Double Feature, premiering in New York City this month.
