Back in G-town! Heres the scoop on our trip to the Coushatta - TopicsExpress

Back in G-town! Heres the scoop on our trip to the Coushatta Casino Resort. First, apologies to all of our friends who gamble, play golf, or do both. We didnt gamble and when Dan called to reserve our overnight stay at the 7 Clans Hotel, he told the reservations person that we do not play golf -- which was part of the prize package we won. Upon learning that, we were told that wed receive two gift cards with $150 on them which we could spend on anything at the casino. So... when we got our cards activated, we received an extra $5.00 for providing our email addresses raising our mad money to $155 each. Yay. How did we spend the funds you might be wondering? 2 dozen oysters on the half shell and cocktails, stuffed red fish, salad, truffle fries, lobster tail, asparagus with hollandaise (thank goodness they forgot to give us the duck tostadas!), a beer for Dan while waiting for this sumptuous feast, Burberry perfume, a flashy pinkie ring, brunch buffet, and gas for the drive home. The only money we spent that was not part of the package was $12.00 for cocktails at the 7 Clans bar (not part of the casino so we couldnt use our gift cards there) and around $22.00 in tips. The 7 Clans Hotel bar had that cheesy piano player guy that I love to hear. Dan requested As Time Goes By and I think one of the patrons enjoyed it even more than I did as she was singing along to it. The casino is quite intimidating so were going to learn all about gambling from my mother-in-law, and I couldnt believe the number of people playing slots and smoking like chimneys! OOooof.. havent been around that much concentrated cigarette smoke in forever. Overall we had a wonderful time and I love my new $115 perfume!
