Back in January Olivia tripped and fell while I was holding her - TopicsExpress

Back in January Olivia tripped and fell while I was holding her arm. She instantly refused to move it and we knew something was wrong. As it was after hours for our regular doctor we ended up elsewhere for a visit and x-rays, which turned into a diagnosis of a dislocated shoulder. Locally there was no luck fixing it so we were sent to the Emergency Room in Evansville to see a pediatric orthopedist so she could be sedated and everything popped back in place. Long story short the doctor deduced it was her elbow, (nursemaids elbow) popped it back in place in seconds, and everything was perfect, cautioning us it could happen again. Fast forward to today....Julia and Olivia were playing puppy dog and Olivias arm was injured with the same result. After a lot of debating we decided to call our doctor to see if he could see us and pop her elbow back in place, saving us an ER visit on a Sunday evening. Without any hesitation he said he would meet us at his office. I offered to take her to house to save him a trip and that is what we did. We were back home in less than 15 minutes! We are so very thankful for Dr. Gene Ress and his willingness to help out- even in his living room on a Sunday evening!!
