Back in Lusaka , in my flat in Ibex , i was busy cleaning out my kitchen cupboards and fridge , throwing out food that had long gone bad when there was a knock on my kitchen door that led to my back garden . I wiped my messy hands on my Capri jeans and pushed back hair that had escaped my pony tail , i made my way to the door and opened it totally surprised , behold and lo , Kevin was standing there smiling at me , he said Hi , before you call the police , your uncle sent me here , Jacobs and browns law firm , he sent me to help about a case you want on in ... I had totally forgotten about harassing my uncle for information on a classified case i wanted to use for reference ,,, it involved one of Lusakas most prominent minister and a local resident , the biggest scandal ever to rock our nation . I felt i could get a good grade on my final if i used this case to my advantage ... Oh its okay , though i was expecting my uncle , i know his super busy , please come in , dont mind the mess... i opened the door wider for him to come in , As he passed me i caught a whiff of his scent , it was clean ,but strong not overpowering , it left me weak but intrigued ; he was tall , broad shouldered , he looked as if he didnt work out but he wasnt fat or thin , i estimated his height to be 180 cm , his hair was neatly brushed and very black , blacker than mine i had to admit , he was wearing a suit of dark grey with a white crisp shirt , a navy blue tie and black Italian shoes .... He stopped mid way in my kitchen , i closed the door and passed by him leading him into my lounge area , it was spacious with off white tiles i got from Dubai from my uncle it a had a six seat couch set of midnight blue , a black and white fluff carpet on which sat my mahogany table of dark brown . Wow you have got some good taste ,, Kevin was clearly impressed by my furniture , i told him to take a seat and offered him something to drink , he declined saying im really sorry , i would love that but i have to go back to work , i have meeting with a client ,,, I sat down opposite from him .... So i hear you want in on my case ... Your case ??? i was surprised Yes my case , the minister is my client , thats the only reason i am hear , your uncle Mr Jacobs made me junior partner , by next year i could be senior . How old are you ???? i was even more intrigued by this guy , he was cocky but i liked that about him , 26 He laughed it off , and there it was again , his infectious smile that left me dazzled the first time , his laugh was like music to my ears ,,, i stupidly smiled at him , feeling warm inside , when i realized what was happening , i shyly looked down DAMN KEEP IT TOGETHER MICHELLE I thought to myself ... placing my hands on my laps i said , well i would like to know everything thats going on in semi detail . Sure we can meet tomorrow morning around 9 ... is that okay with you ? , Yeah its perfect , thanks No thank you ... Our eyes locked for a split second and i felt my heart do a flip ..... Finally he left , and i let out a sigh of relief .... somehow coincidentally Kevin was back in my life and this time i had no choice but to acknowledge him if i wanted to be part of his case . He was on my mind the whole time since he left , it made me angry to think about him . I had to stop myself and ask why was i upset ..... LOVE .... the four lettered word that holds power that can make you or break you ,,, it broke me down so many times , it was something i wanted no part of in my life right now , it hurt to think about what had brought me to this point , but it started with Tyler .... I loved him so much it baffled my eighteen year old mind ... he was there when i lost mom and again when it was dad , he was my first kiss , he swayed me in such a strong way ..... but he turned out to prove to me worst fears .... No matter how hard you try , love always fades , disappears ,,, even if you hold on tight and want it to stay.......
