Back in from PNC Arena, a few quick thoughts on a great day for NC State. Thanks to Bill Thompson and Jason Thompson for asking me and my son to go, otherwise we would have been in the upper level and not sitting nearly as close. Great job by Coach Gottfried, he found some weaknesses especially when Duke doubleteamed and States players executed. And Trevor Lacey and Ralston Turner played a mans game today. Lost in all this was States outstanding defense and they really kept Okafor off balance and made him work for everything. Quinn Cook, you jawed at the State bench after an early 3 and then got smoked by the State guards all game, you about done with that eighth year of eligibility bro? And this Rasheed Sullamohn guy, dude, cry and belly ache much? Good grief, you got worked too so stop looking for the refs to bail you out every trip down. Extremely classy move by K to make sure he got to the State bench before the game ended and his post game comments were very gracious as well so props in defeat to a great coach who sometimes just needs to sit down.
