Back in the 70s, every cartoon show had to have a bubblegum pop soundtrack. Whats amazing is the pedigree behind a lot of the music. The music for Hanna-Barberas The Harlem Globetrotters show had music produced by Don Kirshner (of later Rock Concert fame, also the producer for the Archies, which also included fellow Globetrotters producer Jeff Barry, who did the lead vocals as Archie on most of the songs). Most of the Globetrotters songs were written by Neil Sedaka (Breaking Up is Hard to Do) Their song Rainy Day Bells actually made it onto the Billboard Hot 100 along with a few other non-album tracks. The album is a surprisingly good collection of doo wop and soul songs and I liked this one a lot. Heres Bouncin All Over the World
