Back in the 90s, it felt like a pipe dream to work in the entertainment / music business as an Asian-American. Role models in this business for us were rare but then Asian-Americans started to enjoy a little bit of a renaissance in the music game which inspired me and began to give me hope that maybe we belonged too. Shout out to Jocelyn Enriquez, Kai, Classified Records, Invisibl Skratch Piklz DJ QBert, the Almighty 5th Platoon - Neil Armstrong, Roli Rho Kuttin Kandi, Deejay Daddydog, Vincent Vinroc Punsalan, Pinay, Jaya, Premiere, DNH, and finally the first Asian-Amercican Hip-Hop group signed to a major label, Mountain Brothers. It was one of my dreams to get my name in the liner notes of a record album one day and Mountain Brothers were cool enough to put me in theirs. Now, Scott Chops Jung from Mountain Brothers has put together this great project to support the next generation of Asian music artists. Check it out and if you can - support this next wave because there are Strength in Numbers
