Back on our night family bible study. Topic. The unfulfilled forensic prophecies Tittle. Why is it that the prophecies which make people jump and scream dont come to pass? Who can we blame? 1kings22:5-22. Reasons. 1. Many people who want prophecy demand mostly for the word which goes in line with their thought forgetting that our thoughts are not Gods thoughts and our ways not Gods ways and our plans are not Gods plans, meaning the prophet who speak exactly the word true to our way of thinking may not be speaking from Gods spirit. Read 55:1-10. 2. Many of us are not like Jehoshaphat whose love was more for the word of The Lord than man who speaks just to meet the needs of his stomach. 3. We seek for the prophetic word without being committed to prayer, God does not speak to people who play, our God loves people who pray and desire to know his will. 2 kings 19:20- 4. Most prophets are men pleasers and they fear people more than God, but time has when we must find those prophets without the fear of man, 2chro34:22-28. 5. Being a prophet should not just be a tittle of identity but that name prophet must be accompanied by a sign in fulfillment of the spoken word. Jere28:9-17. That is why I dont like the word can I prophesy!!!!!!!!! My spirit as a prophet can know but only God understands the things I may know and would say what I dont know that is why prophets always said thus says The Lord, because when God speaks He watches over his word.
