Back once again from the Vet with Loo-Loo, fear not all is well! - TopicsExpress

Back once again from the Vet with Loo-Loo, fear not all is well! :) They just wanted another follow up visit after her neuter just over 2 wks ago to double check on her given her weight issues, needless to say they are delighted with our lovely ladys progress & healing. She is down to a slender 2.26kg although the weight loss isnt very well distributed about her body, as yet, her tummy remains quite fatty whilst her shoulder area thin, all being well with her food intake this will in time sort itself out as she gains the nutrition she needs from a rabbit friendly Hay diet. They had wanted to check on her stump near a section of the Cecum (the stump is the Veterinary term given to the incision area - in this case it is where the Uterus was removed & stitched internally) as last weeks follow up the Vet felt it to be still quite enlarged & also tender to the touch, poor Loo-loo did not appreciate all the prodding around :/ thankfully this week they are happy that this area of concern has itself healed & shrank & Loo-loo showed no discomfort during the exam. So thats it for now... We will give Loo-loo another 2-3 weeks before putting into action a plan to bond her with Wee Willie Winkie who we hope will happily accept her as his new wife - I have also been toying with the idea of a trio & adding Little Ms Maissie into the mix? All 3 are single & of the same age, although Maissie is quite the little madam so not sure how well she would agree to that? Not to mention I am not the most confident bonder... lol Ps: Loo-Loo had her 1st growl just the other night! So funny & heartwarming to hear this lovely girl being a bit grumpy! Ted cat was doing his usual mad midnight tear around the house much to her disapproval. Such a joy to see & hear all these new bunny behaviours coming out.
