Devoid of geostrategic interest and without relations with Western nations (like other African countries may have with the former colonial powers, for example), Eritrea is one of the forgotten country. However, the situation in the totalitarian country, presided for 20 years with an iron fist by Assayias Afeworki is alarming. Citizens formal prohibition to leave the country before their 50s, and are subject to a national service for an indefinite period. (Some locals do not hesitate to call their country of vast labor camp). Proof of the plight of citizens defections of national sporting and military increasingly frequent. Why all these defections? What is happening in this country, we hear so little about it?
