Back to chiro/PT today and it was a great visit. So far, besides the chiro and topical therapies, Ive had two Sarapin Injections in my left SI (sacroiliac) joint. This is the area where most people get lower back pain, just at the top of your butt. That nerve bundle that goes to your leg, and when inflamed, its too big to fit in the SI joint space so major pain happens. My left SI pain is caused by surrounding scar tissue as opposed to acute trauma from lifting something for example. Although the crushed nerves most likely not become uncrushed, at least half of my pain is from scar tissue from 4 surgeries where they used the same incision. So far, the SI shots, from my perspective have not started working, but it usually takes 4 to 6 of shots to build up enough to be effective. During alternate visits, they do 6 Tigger Point injections, in areas of the most referred pain on my left side. I had my second set of these today. Its tender for a couple of says as the Sarapin dilutes into the surrounding tissue an a small amount of bruising occurs, so Ill be icing it down for the next several hours. My pain is still at a 6/7 out of 10 the same as it when I was on narcotics and hasnt got better, but hasnt got worse. I am maintaining which is great for right now. If they get rid of the pain caused by the scar tissue, my pain will be cut in half and then the skys the limit for me! The next 12 months for Wendy and I will be amazing and cant wait to see where we are this time in 2015!!! Its gonna be a great year!!! ;)
